I purchased this book for my daughter and I to read together. We both enjoyed it! What my daughter liked about the story was that she got chills and it was suspenseful, but she didn't get nightmares. She liked the dialogue and the way the characters interacted. I liked the sense of place in the story as well as the realism of the life of the characters in opposition to the story of the Ohanzee. This is a fast and fun read. I think it would make a great choice for a reluctant reader who needs a story to move quickly.Product details

This is not my favorite of the three titles in the Strange Creature series that I've read so far, but I did like it. I felt like the story could have been longer? but I did like it. A good story for a boy.
I was reading this book to see if my grandchildren would like it - but, I got so involved in it that I could not stop reading it, then a few days later I read it again. I will definitely recommend it.
